Building with REZICAST®

There are three key steps to building with REZICAST®

1

Understand Your Costs

If you have a popular plan we can quote it, otherwise we can provide some costed options. REZICAST® is usually cost comparable with rendered brick veneer.

2

First REZICAST® Build

We support you to undertake your first REZICAST® build, including assisting with engineering plans and training onsite for your first installation.

3

REZICAST® Referrals

We regularly receive homeowner enquiries from all over the country and pass these on to builders who are using the REZICAST® system.

Pricing Your REZICAST® Build

As with any build with REZICAST®, the first step is to put together a design. We recommend you use someone that is familiar with precast in your design process as there are a few subtle differences (e.g. precast walls are 30mm thicker than brick, and long straight walls are more cost effective to build than a design with many small panels). We can facilitate an introduction to an architect familiar with REZICAST® if you would like, but we’re also happy to work with your preferred architect to help ensure a great result.

Once you have a design, send it through to the REZICAST® team and we will get back to you with:

  • A quote for the four basic components that make up a REZICAST® quote (engineering, hardware, licensing fee, training – as detailed below)
  • If it’s your first REZICAST® build, an estimate of the cost of panels required for the build and where you can buy them from if you don’t already have a preferred precast manufacturer (for subsequent builds, you’ll be able to calculate this yourself)

The total cost of the above two items can then be added to your build budget, with the costs related to bricks removed (see here for a list of cost savings by switching to precast). If the overall build cost looks good and you’d like to move forward, simply return the signed licence agreement and we’ll send you back the engineering drawings you can provide to the precast manufacturer. We’ll also arrange for the REZICAST® hardware to be delivered to site and book in any support you’d like from us for the panel installation. We also remain available throughout the build to address any questions you may have.

REZICAST® Quote Components

Engineering

This includes Full Structural and Precast Working Drawings ready to send to a Precast Manufacturer of your choice (we have Precast Manufacturing contacts in most areas and can assist with an introduction if you do not have a preferred supplier).

Hardware

A hardware package will be delivered which is part of the patented REZICAST® Home Building System. It complies with the Engineers Design Specifications and is for the precast component of the build only.

Training

We provide supervision for the installation of precast panels and trusses to train your team or, can recommend experienced sub-contractors to work under your builders number for the REZICAST® component of the job. Generally we find builders only need to engage us once for onsite training, for each subsequent job they are confident to move forward without supervision (noting we’re always available via phone to address any issues). However you can always request to add training support to any build.

License Fee

We charge a license fee per dwelling – this can vary depending how many dwellings you are building on a project at one time.
